Human traffickers actively target runaway and homeless teens, exploiting their vulnerability, fear, and lack of resources. These predators use manipulation, false promises of safety, and coercion to trap young people in prostitution. Victims often can't escape due to threats, isolation, and trauma bonding. Most started as children seeking shelter or fleeing abuse—only to fall into worse exploitation. They're visible on our streets, yet invisible to our awareness. Recognition and intervention can save lives. These victims need our attention, not our silence.
